trans contintental

i just spent more hours than i want to think about flying to berlin, with an incredibly lengthy stopover in copenhagen.

At some point i was crazed on the across-the-atlantic-plane and watching “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” — featuring my possibly all time favorite all time musical number that makes almost no sense… I would go into it, but its pretty obvious. Best use of tennis rackets ever.

ALSO. The Copenhagen airport is amazing. Its gorgeous, with beautiful wooden floors, great light and modern furniture everywhere (of course). And awesome shopping. Especially if you have the money. Which, of course, I don’t.

So, my most favorite part of the copenhagen airport was the crazy carts that they use to take supplies around from store store:

woah! its a scooter bred with a handcart!

This is what I need to do my shopping in new york. These things zipped around the airport, heavily laden, speedy and stable as can be! They also kind of looked really fun (albeit a little silly).

More soon.

Imagine if we had only had the engineering prowess to be able to design the parade float with scooter steering instead of a wooden yoke…
